You call yourself a free spirit, a “wild thing,” and you’re terrified somebody’s gonna stick you in a cage. Well baby, you’re already in that cage. You built it yourself. And it’s not bounded in the west by Tulip, Texas, or in the east by Somali-land. It’s wherever you go. Because no matter where you run, you just end up running into yourself.
~ Truman Capote, Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Audrey Hepburn’s role as call girl/socialite Holly Golightly in the 1961 film, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, has spawned countless recreations of the iconic look she sports in the opening scene. The little black dress and pearl necklace with a bouffant hairstyle will be forever tied to Hepburn.

While the 60’s have long since disappeared into the rear-view mirror, the Get Leashed gal’s modern take on Holly Golightly channels Hepburn’s timeless spirit. Like her namesake, the new era Golightly is one fashionable kitten. A mover and a shaker in the social scene, she rubs shoulders with some of the city’s finest, yet she always manages to get home to keep ‘Cat’ company. She is constantly on Tinder and dates a bunch of guys, drinks like mad, earns a living and stays out late. Let’s just say she’s no stranger to the sunrise and — unlike in Capote’s vision — she wouldn’t have it any other way.
