This Toronto Dog Park Fountain Needs To Be On Your Summer Radar

Berczy Park Is A Highly Instagrammable Must Visit

By The Get Leashed Events Team

From home grown talent like Iggy Joey and Drake, there are many awesome reasons to visit Toronto this summer. Whether you’re hoping to drop into the six for a a little sojourn or you’re a resident looking for your next Insta moment, you’re going to want to put Berczy Park on your radar.

After an extensive (and expensive) renovation, the park officially re-opened on June 28th with a new piece of public art – an enormous dog themed fountain featuring 27 dogs spraying water from their mouths and one cat, for the cat people.  The fountain is complete with a golden bone atop the tiered structure. Since the park hosts 2 600 dog visits per day, it was only fitting the revitalization of the space had the dog owner in mind!

Bravo to the City of Toronto for making another beautiful outdoor space for dogs and owners to enjoy. If you happen to be in Toronto this weekend, don’t miss Pet Lovers Day at the park, happening July 8th from 9:30-11:30 am. There will be free treats for pets, prize draws, and an expert pet trainer on hand. For full details, check out Berzcy Park on Facebook.

Have a look at some snaps of the grand re-opening celebration where some stylish pet parents and their pups stopped by to enjoy the new space.

Berczy Park is located at 35 Wellington Street East, Toronto.
