Olivia Wilde has long captivated us with her Paco posts, the dog she rescued who is at the heart of her home. She is a diehard animal lover, instilling an appreciation of dogs in her two young children early. She often posts on how much spontaneous laughter Paco incites with her longtime love and fiance, Jason Sudeikis.

Wilde took to Instagram earlier this week to formally introduce her new furry addition to the famous clan. ‘Ladies and gentlemen, meet the heartbreaker formerly known as Maxamillion, now christened by his new human brother as Elvis Sudeikis-Wilde,’ the actress captioned in her first photo of the new pup.

The first thing to note is the off the charts eyes-to-ears ratio on this rescue. We suspect Wilde may not be aware that she’s adopted an Ewok. Elvis’ face is just too adorably bear-like. We just want to hug this lovebug so bad.

Aside from her pups, Wilde is mother to eight-month old daughter Daisy and three-year-old son Otis with Colossal actor Sudeikis. We love that her rescue pups are officially surnamed Sudeikis-Wilde! The #relationshipgoals inspiring couple have been together since November 2011.

She happily dished out more details of Elvis’ origin story to her avid followers: ‘3 years young and 10 lbs of pure goodness. He’s lived a pretty harrowing life so far, and we are so lucky he adopted us as his new family, so we can treat him like the king he was born to be. Thanks to @barcshelter we found the missing member of our brood. This is our second adopted furry son and we cannot recommend it enough.”

Her plea is meant to hit home. When it comes to rescue activism, Wilde doesn’t mince words, ’’There are so many animals looking for homes. This little guy was next on the kill list at a shelter in Texas not too long ago! Please consider saving a dog today. #adoptdontshop #Elvishasenteredthebuilding.”

The actress and documentary producer knew we wouldn’t be satisfied with just one snap. She followed up the debut portrait with a second more casual post of the wee bean standing next to his much bigger brother Paco, stretched out on a rather fabulous rug. The compassionate dog lover captioned her capture just like a proud new mom: ‘Rescue bros. #PacoandElvis,’ complete with two heart emojis.

Sweet Elvis first appeared on Olivia’s Instagram account on July 7. “I may need him to adopt me”: Olivia posted an Instagram shot with, “Backstage at @livekellyandryan with my new friend Max from @barcshelter. I think we have chemistry.”

The actress isn’t the first star to encourage adopting from rescue shelters; Hilary Swank,Meghan Markle, Charlize Theron, Selena Gomez all chose the compassionate route of adoption.
Wilde is currently starring in the Broadway production of 1984, alongside Tom Sturridge, which has caused quite a visceral stir with audiences – most notoriously so when Jennifer Lawrence threw up during a performance last week.
