Millennials Need More Room For Their Dogs, Not Children

Who cares about the three-step plan? We need more dogs!

Gone are the days of sharing a milkshake and waiting by the phone in the kitchen. Modern relationships are all about replying to texts at the right speed and following each other on social media. Millenials are under official strain with expensive everything – student loans, insurance, and mortgages. Looming over us is the dark cloud of saving money for the future while wanting to do things our parents couldn’t do like travelling the world.

The world is our oyster in the way that we can choose a family variant that differs from the nuclear family. Instead of wanting a big family with children running around, some people want more dogs in the mix.

But dogs take up a lot of space and not every place that rents allows pets. Sometimes we might think our pups are angels, but then they’re capable of making very big messes.

Most people think the steps are: find the right person, get a job, get married, buy a house, and live happily ever after with one and a half children. Nope! Not anymore! According to a recent survey by SunTrust Mortgage, a third of millenials buy their first house not for marriage, but for room to have a dog!

We’re changing the game by saving money for something other than human needs, really.

Because goals have changed, people. Dogs are what it’s all about! And who wouldn’t want their furry one to have the home they deserve?

Renting with your fur baby is hard. Other homeowners fear dogs will damage their property. So the only solution is to buy your own house.

Because if you stumbled across this basket of puppies, wouldn’t you want a whole house or property to keep them? (We would).

So that’s the new reality. Millenials are choosing fur babies before they think about their own babies. Either way, we need help with this silly housing market!
