Being pregnant is one of the most precious times in a woman’s life. I remember when I was pregnant with my son; my number one priority was having a healthy pregnancy and I counted the days, minutes and seconds until I would see him. The day he was born was the best day of my life!

Human births aside, there’s nothing like seeing newborn puppies. They are so adorable that even if you already have a pet, you can’t help but feel like taking them home.

I want you to meet Rosie, a Golden Retriever who was in an advanced stage of pregnancy, and thankfully was taken to a foster home. Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue took care of Rosie while finding a pair of experienced fosters for her.

Katie and John Black, who have fostered over 20 dogs since 2009, were more than ready to help Rosie with her pregnancy and take care of her puppies. The big day arrived and the surprise the Blacks and Rosie received was priceless.

You would expect Rosie’s babies to look a little bit like her but this wasn’t Rosie’s case… Foster mom Katie wrote on reddit that they looked more like baby cows!

In this photo, proud mom Rosie looks confused but that didn’t stop her from taking care of her puppies. Katie and John named the four black and white spotted puppies Daisy, Betsy, Clarabelle, and Moo. It is unknown what kind of dog the father of the litter is, but clearly he was not a fellow Golden Retriever.

The foster parents say Rosie is a wonderful mom. Katie posted a picture of Rosie with her black and white puppies on Reddit without expecting it to get so popular. The photo has been upvoted nearly 90,000 times; great stats for Katie’s first Reddit post!

Rosie will enjoy her time at the Black’s residence while she nurses her puppies and watches them grow. The puppies will be put up for adoption when they are old enough and will join loveable families.
