Dr. Sheldon Jafine

By the time he was 10, Doctor Jafine knew he wanted to be a Vet. A graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College, with additional expertise gained from working at both The Metro Toronto Zoo and The Sacramento Zoo in California, Doctor Jafine has also served as Consultant to The Toronto Humane Society, The Endangered Animal Sanctuary and Hartz Mountain Canada. A pioneer of 24-hour veterinary care in Toronto, in 1986, with Doctor Catherwood’s assistance, he established the 24-hour Willowdale Animal Hospital.

An instructor for the Canine Certification Program of the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council, Sheldon also holds membership in the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA), the Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine (TAVM) and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). The proud owner Lawrence the pug, Sheldon also enjoys music, sports and magic.
