Where diversity, creativity and masculinity meet

Life is too big to even be able to describe. ~ Marc Kyriacou
Editor’s note: Marc Kyriacou tragically passed away in the summer of 2017. He is deeply missed by many.
About you: I’m a designer and a builder by day but I also enjoy getting behind a good cause. I’ve been on a few different charitable foundation boards. Most recently, I was with Right to Play helping out with their annual ball. I was also on the CANFAR junior committee for years.
I ski avidly and have since a kid. I shoot guns. I would say my main source of fun is being out and social with my friends. Living where I do provides me with great access to my friends and some great local places to hang out.
About your pet: Gigi is a female French bulldog, she’s five years old. I bought her from a local dog dealer, while I guess that’s what you’d call them, as she was born in Hungary and shipped here along with the rest of her litter. I found her online, chose her online and when I went to pick her up she was the first dog of the litter to come to me.
What’s your personal style? I kind of have two, daytime and nighttime. During the day it’s jeans, a t-shirt and construction boots. At night it’s jean, a white shirt, a blazer (usually loud) and a great pair of shoes.
What’s your home style? Masculine, uncluttered, warm.
What inspires you? I find this can change from time to time. It seems that each of my projects are very different and I’m inspired by what I need to be inspired by for each one. I don’t really have a single style, design wise. I like to conform to the outlines my clients request and form to them with my own influence.
Tell us a pet story. There’s only one thing I don’t like about Gigi. She HATES the car. Now I’m not sure if it’s the car or the way I drive, but she manages to puke 9 out of 10 times we go anywhere which makes it difficult to take her with me. Boring but true.
