Giving thanks to the stylish women in Williamsburg, BKLYN
By Alex Brown
In the borough of Brooklyn, there’s likely no other area that has gained as much notoriety as Williamsburg. Over the last number of years, one cool, stylish shop after another has moved in, taking over the streets with the best of the best. Coffee, clothing, food and drink are available on a scale that would please even the pickiest tastemakers. And Williamsburg doesn’t keep things to themselves – small businesses galore with roots here have grown to such popularity that their products can be found in hip, niche shops across the US and beyond.
Home to artistic young people of every discipline, the area’s also a hub for families looking to keep close to Manhattan but gain a bit of peace and refuge from the towering buildings and everyday hustle and bustle plaguing it. All this to say the the culture is young and the look is hip. And as we’ve said before, the best accessories have four legs! Look for Frenchies, pugs, and other cute mid-sized pooches. They’re running this town!
With Thanksgiving coming up, we’re paying homage to the women of Williamsburg and their refined style. Take a closer look at any particular outfit and you’ll find at least a piece or two that’ll have you wondering which boutique the lucky lady found it in. These girls have some essential pieces – ie a leather jacket or pair of shoes – outfit makers that they can pull out to make any look work better. Don’t know what we mean? Check out WeWoreWhat to get an idea for the streetstyle constantly being reborn in NYC (she has a kickass Frenchie, too). So thanks, you hip and stylish women of Williamsburg, for all the looks you invent or just put your own Brooklyn twist to!
