The Knot Group ups its cute factor with one adorable desk dog
By the Get Leashed Doggy Style team
If you follow Get Leashed, you’ll know that the culture and lifestyle of pet ownership is our focus and bringing you the best of it is our mission. Nobody gets this more than The Knot Group. Their PR and events management agency leads the way when it comes to innovation in the arts, culture, business, fashion and lifestyle sectors and as we all know, where these things exist, dogs do too. One of their most fiery Account Executives, Nicole Martin, just happens to parent the most cheeky-faced, adorably docile maltese chihuahua we’ve ever met. When she’s around, Bella watches over The Knot Group’s super hip office space, growling at strangers but quickly becoming smitten when she realizes that they’re friendly visitors. Unavoidably, we were smitten right back – with Bella and the whole Knot Group experience.
Tell us about yourself:
I am an Account Executive at The Knot Group (TKG) with a focus in Music. My current clients are: Analogue Gallery, Arts & Crafts and the Canadian Opera Company. I love that no two days are the same while working at TKG! I am always excited as to what’s coming next and I look forward to the challenges it brings. My everyday routine involves conversing with media via email (I’m constantly typing away), coordinating opportunities for my clients, event planning (at present, I’m planning for Field Trip + Sound Image Competition) and more!
A bit about your pet:
Bella is a Maltese Chihuahua. With Bella it was love at first sight! I had coincidentally heard about a breeder through a friend and went to visit her; she immediately jumped on my lap and I refused to leave without her.
What’s your ideal weekend look like?
My ideal weekend is a night out with my girlfriends, dinner with my family, a delicious brunch at Mildred’s Temple, and a movie day with Bella.
Describe your style:
I’d say my style is pretty simple — I’m definitely a when in doubt wear black kind of gal!
What inspires you?
Health and Fitness. There’s nothing more inspiring than taking time for a long walk outside with Bella, or an hour to myself partaking in Essentrics, or going for a run.
Describe The Knot Group office vibe:
Social and inspiring. TKG’s open concept office gives me easy access to my team, our client showroom and (of course) Bella! It’s great for chatting about ideas or just seeing what everyone else is up to.
A relationship-defining pet story:
University! I got Bella when I was entering my second year at Queen’s University and moving into a house with seven girls. The eight of us (including Bella) lived in that house for three years! She was one of the gals and helped us all through the stress of university (and she enjoyed it with us as well!)
