Original gifts for celebrating with family, friends and pets
By Jon Nelson
The Jewish festival of lights, while not the holiest holiday, still brings family together during the festive season. And what’s more important than that? With eight nights of gift giving, it can be hard to keep things original, which is why we’ve scoured the Internet for some of the best gifts for Jewish friends and loved ones with cats and dogs.
Our gift guide includes a couple humorous options for pet-lovers of any age. But if you’re hoping to give an elegant gift that your bubbie will pass down through generations, we’ve also included a beautiful menorah. For kids, we’ve found a special build-it-yourself dreidel that adds something extra to the cherished game. And of course, we’ve included books to read together as a family, because time with loved ones is what Hanukkah is all about!
We’ve listed our eight favorite gifts below, plus a ninth for the all-important Shamash.
