A Dog-Friendly Six Course Tasting Event With Boehmer Restaurant & Rosewood Wines
By The Get Leashed Events Team
Get Leashed & Company, a private members club for modern dog owners, specializes in culinary, cultural, and sometimes unorthodox events, due to their canine component. The latest edition of Dîner en Bark was no exception.
Chef Paul Boehmer & Buddy
Would you find it crazy to have 25 dogs at a six course chef’s tasting menu with wine pairings? Well, our 50 members in attendance thought it was crazy awesome. That’s right, a high end, intimate dinner party where you can dine with your dog. Imagine, enjoying your albacore tuna course with a Pyrenees mountain dog happily at your feet, or savoring a fresh take on an Italian Panna Cotta with an Italian Greyhound to the table next to you. It’s a magical experience we’re thrilled to deliver.

The VIP treatment was rolled out for all of our guests, includikng the four legged ones. The luxury dog accessories brand Hound Collection placed a collar charm at every place setting. Chef Paul Boehmer created a six course menu to surpass any foodie’s expectations, while the team at Rosewood Estates Winery selected wine pairings to complement the flavors of each dish. Rosewood happens to be a pet-friendly winery in the Niagara region, run on the family tradition of passion for quality wine and honey making. Guests were treated to their unique Meade Royale to accompany the dessert course, made with their own honey. Dogs patiently waited to sample selections from our doggie treat bar, and received five star service from Forest Hill Dog Walkers & Pet Services throughout the night as to not interrupt their human companions.
While the night involved food, making new friends, drinking great wines, and of course, some fabulous photo ops, guests also showed their generosity in helping to raise funds for Dog Tales Rescue & Sanctuary, which works to provide care and homes to rescued horses and dogs. A special thank you to our silent auction partners for their donations.
Toronto is a city of dog lovers, and a city of diverse and interesting dog owners – all the ingredients necessary for a magical dinner party. If you missed out, please visit Get Leashed & Company to inquire about membership and upcoming events.
