A glass of wine after a long day of running errands, answering emails, attending meetings, and organizing is often regarded as the universal symbol of relaxation, that or ordering a pizza. If you do both, we promise we won’t tell anybody because we’ll likely do the same thing.
For those of you who feel guilty drinking your glass(es) of wine while your pet watches you confused, we have some game-changing news. First, stop feeling guilty. Wine = gym, or at least that’s what we’ve taken away from this Huffington Post article. Second, there’s a company that specializes in cat wines and dog wines.

Made at 5,675’ in the foothills of Colorado with all-natural ingredients, Apollo Peak brings members of the pet community a line of beverages designed with cats and dogs in mind. The company seems quite confident that their specialty wines and cocktails can get the attention of “even the most picky of pets.”
Well, if it counts for anything, they certainly got one human’s attention: mine.
Knowing that dogs and cats should never ingest alcohol, Apollo Peak’s created non-alcoholic alternatives made with the fresh, organic ingredients grown in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Organic catnip, peppermint, chamomile, and fresh beets are just some of the healthy and delicious components featured in their pet-oriented wines. The wines are said to “mellow out” your pets, and there is no harm in cats consuming dog wine and dogs consuming cat wine. It just miiight get territorial.
Currently, there are 12 whimsically named wines and cocktails available, with additional flavors and varieties scheduled to come out soon. Cat beverages are available in 8 meownce and 1.6 meownce bottles, and dog wines are available in 12 pounce and 8 pounce bottles.
So, why did Apollo Peak create pet wines? They designed the wines “to help bridge the social divide between humans and their pets. Our initial thoughts were, “Why not share a drink with our canine and feline friends?”
We couldn’t agree more and love the idea of strengthening the pet-owner relationship. Raise your wine glasses, water dishes, and water saucers to cheers the unbreakable bond between humans and animals!
Drink up! Lap up! And most importantly, enjoy!
