Senior animals get the bad end of the deal most of the time. People surrender their senior dogs to shelters and at the shelters potential adopters overlook them for a puppy or a younger dog. In reality, you get all the love in the world when you adopt senior dogs. They shower their humans with love and affection and snuggles. But in shelters, they struggle to find homes.

So, to encourage senior adoption, PETA requested permission to use Yusuf Islam AKA Cat Stevens’ song “I Love My Dog” for a video.

The video shows a man stumbling across a paper advertisement for senior dog adoption. He looks around his apartment, sets up a dog bowl and bed, grabs a leash and meets his new dog.

He comes home to his dog everyday to kisses, messes, and snuggles. They walk together and hang out.
