Miranda Lambert is no stranger to rescues. At her home or even on the road she is never without a rescued animal. The 33-year-old country star responded to the tragedy in Houston with MuttNation, her own foundation, to transport as many dogs as possible to Oklahoma. Lambert did not take a backseat to the rescue. Hurricane Harvey left a trail of destruction across Texas. High wind speeds and high water levels left residents prisoners of their homes. Families sat on their roofs, parents did anything to protect their children, and others had to wait in water-filled buildings for rescue efforts.
