Turns Out Those Licks Mean More Than Just Love

Is this kiss a sign of affection?
Every morning it breaks your heart seeing your dog’s sad face when she sees her favorite person in the world leave. You wish you could stay with them to play fetch or go for a nice relaxing walk, but you know you have to work. Once you are done work, you count the minutes and even seconds to see your furry friend again.
You open your door and your dog’s face is priceless. He starts jumping and running around the house with excitement and then he starts licking you as if he hasn’t seen you in months.
Dog’s can’t talk, but they are communicating.
I am sure many of you go through this with your dog. Since dogs can’t talk, (I wish they could) they use their actions and behavior to express their emotions. Every time my dog sees me the first thing she does is lick me. What is she thinking every time she licks me? Is she saying “hello”, is she asking for attention?, is she hungry? is she showing affection?
Enjoy reading this article as you will find out the meaning of your dog’s licks and also learn that sometimes a dog’s lick may mean he wants his own space.
There’s also some extra info for you at the end of the article to further understand your pupper and keep them happy!
1. You taste…. Amazing!
How would you feel if someone tells you that you taste delicious? It sounds a bit weird for me, but for a dog it is not weird at all. Dogs like our salty taste that comes from our skin and they might even enjoy the taste of lotion and deodorants, especially if you use coconut oil.
