On Wednesdays We Wear Pink: Dog Edition

Dogs are literally “so fetch” and they can definitely make it happen.

On October 3, Aaron Samuels asked Cady Heron what day it was, and then October 3rd became officially known as Mean Girls Day. In 2004, Mean Girls came out in theatres and no one expected it to be one of the most quoted movies of all time (don’t quote me, I just made that up!) A movie about a “regulation hottie” entering the dangerous world of high school after years of being home schooled raised issues that were difficult to discuss. Bullying, relationships, gossip, and peer pressure are just a few issues that Mean Girls covered. All the while adding iconic moments with Hollywood’s funniest actresses (I’m looking at you Tina Fey)!

So, every year, Mean Girls fans all over the world remind everyone else that it’s October 3rd. It’s been 13 years and it’s still happening.

One other iconic line from the movie is when one of The Plastics says to Cady, “On Wednesdays we wear pink!” And, as it is Wednesday, it seems fitting that we showcase the Internet’s dogs wearing pink!

“I LOVE your bow! Where did you get that?”

She did not, in fact, love her bow.

We thought it would be fun to add Mean Girls quotes to their photos because they’re just so relateable!

“OMG, I love your skirt, where did you get it?”

“That is the ugliest eff-ing skirt I’ve ever seen.”

This little Bichon now knows that people don’t always mean what they say.

“Nice wig, Janis, what it’s made of?”

It takes a whole lot of chest hair to come up with that witty response. #ThanksJanisIan

“Regina reserved a dress at a store called 1, 3, and 5. But, we all had to approve it.”

“The zipper must be broken!”

“I’m sorry, do you have this in the next size up?”

“No, we only carry sizes 1, 3, and 5, try Sears.”

Apparently in the 2000s, you went for the body size in order to denounce your Queen Bee. We are not about body shaming.

“We wear Crocs every Thursday and since you’re not wearing them, YOU CAN’T SIT WITH US.”

It’s harsh out there in girl world.

This is Damian, he’s almost too furry to function and HE WANTS HIS PINK SHIRT BACK! 13 years later and we realize that the people you want to surround yourself with are the ones who aren’t afraid to go against societal norms.

“I thought there only was fat and ugly, but there are so many different things that could be wrong about you.”

And Cady’s first thought was, “My breath smells really bad when I wake up in the morning.”

“Gretchen, I’m sorry about the time I told everyone you had diarrhea at Barnes and Nobles. And I’m sorry I’m repeating it again.”

“Let’s go out. You want to go to Taco Bell?”

“I’m on an all carb diet, Karen. God, you are so stupid!”

We will go to Taco Bell with anyone who invites us, especially Vi!

Now, just a mismatch of our favorite lines with the cutest doggos!

“She doesn’t even go here!”

(PS @hermaninthehood wore his adorable pink hoodie to raise awareness to stop bullying!)

“When you get bit by a snake, you’re supposed to suck the poison out. So I had to suck all the poison out of my life.”

Life lessons with serious-face Gom!

“Mom? Can you pick me up? I’m scared.”

There is a thin line that separates man drama and girl drama, but most of the time girls are better at it!

“They’re Teen Royalty. If Northshore was Us Weekly, they’d always be on the cover.”

What’s your favorite Mean Girls quote? For those wondering, my favorite is the obscure one where Damian grabs Cady’s hair and says, “this is the color I want!”

PS. It’s also Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, so there’s another reason to wear pink!
