Canopy Paws: A New Lifestyle Hotel Designed with Your Dog In Mind

Canopy by Hilton’s Paws in the Neighborhood Concept Gets Two Paws Up

How many times have you run out while on vacation to pick up something for your dog— whether it’s a necessity for your Neapolitan Mastiff or a feel good treat for your neurotic Norfolk Terrier? We get it, it feels pretty basic. What if there was a hotel brand that catered to our overzealous catering to our pup? Canopy by Hilton, Hilton’s latest lifestyle hotel brand, recently launched Paws in the Neighborhood and we couldn’t be more intrigued. The program is aimed at ensuring guests of all leg configurations have a just-right, local experience before they even strut through the door. It’s about taking care of all the little things that pop up when traveling with pets so that we don’t have to.

Innovation around the particular pet needs of travelers has become increasingly important in hospitality. As hotels compete to stay relevant, we say pet culture must be on their radar. Canopy by Hilton crafts an experience rooted in the local vibe, and no exceptions are made for guests traveling leash-in-hand. As part of the Paws in the Neighborhood program, each guest will receive a dog’s guide to the neighborhood, a handy directory to nearby dog-centric spaces and services including parks, beaches and trails, groomers and vets, dog treat bakeries and dog-friendly eateries – any place where local dogs and their people gather.

Canopy by Hilton is a relatively new member of the Hilton portfolio; its first hotel, Canopy Reykjavik City Centre, opened in Iceland in July 2016. The first U.S. Canopy property opened in October 2017 in Washington, D.C. To keep up with the fast growing audience of travelers with pets, Paws in the Neighborhood will be available in all current and future Canopy by Hilton properties in North America.
