Kaley Cuoco just made a rescue shelter in San Diego very happy!

On June 30th, Kaley married her sweetheart, Karl Cook, a professional equestrian, during a gorgeously intimate ceremony in Karl’s stable. The glowing couple were surrounded by everyone they love – human, horse, and dog alike.

Here are the members of the newly minted KC Squad in what Kaley describes as the “best family photo ever!”

In lieu of wedding gifts, this animal-loving couple requested that guests bring dog or cat donations. This is no surprise, as the pair are well regarded as animal lovers. In fact, the whole day was designed to be inclusive to their four-legged family members.

The couple’s wedding planner, Lauren Tatum, said,  ‘The whole [wedding] was unique and unusual, including their horseshoe altar. That was Karl’s ranch. The horseshoe altar was 10 feet tall by 8 feet wide. They love their animals. ‘The two things that were most important to Kaley were that everyone could feel the love between her and Karl, and their love for their animals. ‘That is what they cared about – the animals and each other – and that is what they wanted relayed to the guests; that those are what is most important in both of their lives forever and always.’

The guests really came through for rescues, and #KCSQUARED was able to donate a truckload of needed items to Paw Works in San Diego, a shelter that provides lodging and vet services to dogs and cats in need.

Before Kaley even met Karl, she would tell friends that her next partner HAD to be a dog-lover, it would be a deal breaker if he was otherwise.

Kaley was once married to professional tennis player, Ryan Sweeting, but they divorced in 2016. It was a difficult time for Kaley, and she was not sure she wanted love again and certainly thought poorly of marriage.

“I honestly thought I wouldn’t get married again. My ex ruined that word for me. I married someone the first time who completely changed. The person I ended up with was not the person I originally met. And that wasn’t my fault—that was his. I knew how much I had to give and how much I wanted to receive. I knew I just had to be patient…I had to go through a lot of things, but it brought me to Karl.”

All of the animals were very excited about the festivities and worked to calm Kaley’s prenuptial nerve’s. Sammy took particular interest in what was going on outside his stable doors.

Kaley gushed, “He legit snuggled my ears for 5 min before I went down the aisle. He was so intrigued by everything! Sweet Sammy, I love you!”

This adorable couple have more than a few pets, including rescue pit bulls named Shirley and Norman. Kaley is a very passionate advocate for pit bulls and is committed to protecting these pups from wrongful death and surrender based on an unfair reputation as aggressive and viscous. Truthfully, pit bulls are only aggressive when they are mistreated and rank a distant 9th place in the top ten most aggressive breeds; Chihuahua and Dachshund take the top 2 spots.

It was a beautiful day with beautiful support for our furry friends in need.

But before we go, can we just talk for a moment about Kaley’s Charlie’s Angels wedding jumpsuit? Kaley delighted friends and family with two beautiful wedding looks: a lace Reem Acra gown and cape and then a lace jumpsuit designed by Tadashi Shoji. Love, love, love the jumpsuit!
